The Pera Pera no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to literally turn people and objects into an "open book", making the user a Library Human (蔵書人間 Zōsho Ningen). "Pera pera" is a Japanese onomatopoea for flipping pages. It was eaten by Enrico Morgan.
This fruit appearance is unknown, but Morgan stated that it has the shape of a mini-watermelon.
Strengths and WeaknessesEditThe major strength of the fruit, as demonstrated by Morgan, is that it allows the user to turn parts of a person's body or an object into pages of a book containing true and detailed information about themselves, such as memories, personal traits, abilities and thoughts. The user can flip through the pages to search certain details of their target, detach them to make them permanently forget something or even add facts by writing artificial memories. The effect of this fruit will render the target incapacitated depending which part of their body is affected.
The user can also replicate the pages to attach them into his own body or into objects such as books. Morgan has shown the ability to "steal" the memories of an object, such as a sword, to obtain the knowledge of the people that used them in a previous life and temporarily be a master in said subject, although he stated that if his physical conditions where not suitable he would not be able to handle it properly.
The user must come in contact with their target to activate this fruit power, instantly turning the touched place into pages. It appears to have a certain area of effect, as keeping distance from the user will slowly turn their bodies back to normal without harm. Also, the user seems to be the only one that can interact with the pages. Besides that, they are affected by the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
